Hannah’s senior portrait session had a little bit of everything: Classic styles, flowering fields, rustic village locations, athletic shots— even the family business. The end result was not only a great set of images of a lovely young lady, but Hannah’s personality captured in keepsake photo art for her family to enjoy for years to come. Thank you, Hannah, for letting me be a part of your senior experience!
Lauren, a trained dancer, was kind enough to bring her ballet pointe shoes and strike some awesome poses as we explored Grand Rapids for her senior portrait session. The results are gorgeous. Thank you, Lauren!
Sydney is one of those kids who seems to do EVERYTHING well — top honors student; skier; color guard and more. Thank you so much for letting me help commemorate your senior year! You’re going to do wonderfully at Michigan State University in the fall!
I hope you’ll pardon a personal post, but I couldn’t be any prouder of this guy. Jonathan (yeah, my kid) is the epitome of character, hard work and talent. This year, Jonathan accomplished his primary goal of finishing his High School forensics career as a State Champion in sales, all while maintaining perfect grades and being great to his family and friends. Yeah, I gush a little, but he’s mine for a little longer, so I get to play the mom card if I want to.
Good luck in the fall at Hope College, and don’t forget to text your mom!
Although my photography studio is located in Grand Rapids, MI, I also meet clients around the country for destination sessions (NYC, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami and more!). Kelsey traveled to New York City with her mom and sister for a “girls’ weekend,” and I was lucky enough to share the day with her shooting all around the city. Kelsey started her day with hair and makeup at The Plaza Hotel, which positioned us perfectly for a walk through Central Park to capture unique and iconic images. After a break for dinner, we reconvened in Times Square for a night-time shoot under the big city lights. Thank you for meeting me in NYC for your senior pictures, Kelsey! What a great memory!
My next NYC Destination Sessions are October 19 & 20, 2017! So excited to be going back soon— get details here…

Hannah traveled over to Grand Rapids for her Cinematic Session, and we had so much fun together! A 3-sport star, Hannah is Gull Lake High School’s Athlete of the Year and is proof-positive that great things come in small packages!
This was an extra fun session for me— not only is Megan a dream to photograph, her mom, Michelle, is an awesome photographer in her own right. So between the three of us, there were plenty of creative ideas to go around.
Last summer I had my first photo shoot with Bella from Portage Northern High School. As you can see, it was amazing! I can’t wait to photograph her again in a few weeks in New York City for her Destination Senior Session!
Boy, did I have some awesome 2017 seniors to work with this year! Blaire is a top scholar and multi-sport athlete from Kent City High School who just won Districts in varsity softball… Good luck next weekend at Regionals!
Tori is flat-out amazing— a top honors student, gifted actress and vocalist. AND she is going to study Biological Sciences in college, just like I did! The world needs more biologists with fashion sense, amiright??
I go back so far with Nathan’s parents that when I first met them, Nathan’s dad looked like… Nathan! But despite the weird time-warp, it was super fun to be a part of this guy’s senior year! Good luck at GVSU and as our future Russian Ambassador!
Who says you can’t have both beauty and brains? Mackenna was just named Salutatorian of her graduating class at Cedar Springs High School! Congratulations, Mackenna! Look out, world!
