Sisely was a delight to photograph for her senior session in Downtown Grand Rapids! I LOVE it when my seniors bring unique and creative ideas for their senior portraits, and Sisely was determined to get shots that nobody else was doing. This led us all over Grand Rapids, culminating on the rooftop of Downtown Market. Awesome.

One of my favorite sessions of the year was Aliyah from Jenison HS. What amazing style! And although moms usually tag along for my sessions, Aliyah’s dad came along for her photo shoot, and we had so much fun! The best part is that the fun shows through in the finished images. Thank you, Aliyah!
Hannah traveled over to Grand Rapids for her Cinematic Session, and we had so much fun together! A 3-sport star, Hannah is Gull Lake High School’s Athlete of the Year and is proof-positive that great things come in small packages!
This was an extra fun session for me— not only is Megan a dream to photograph, her mom, Michelle, is an awesome photographer in her own right. So between the three of us, there were plenty of creative ideas to go around.
Last summer I had my first photo shoot with Bella from Portage Northern High School. As you can see, it was amazing! I can’t wait to photograph her again in a few weeks in New York City for her Destination Senior Session!
Chyna played up her 1930s-glam good looks in her Cinematic Session in Grand Rapids last summer. What an awesome and talented young lady! Thank you for letting me be part of your senior year and good luck in the fall at University of Colorado!
I have been fortunate to work with many wonderful senior girls, but some are a particular delight. Taylor and her mom, Dalene, became fast friends during our time together! You are a lovely young woman, Taylor, and I know you’re going to go far as you head out to Georgia Southern University! Congrats, girl!

I am thrilled to enter this lovely senior image as my top image of 2013. Be sure to check out all the other awesome entries here!
In a recent Cinematic Session, I played up my senior’s blonde bombshell looks and styled a Marilyn Monroe look-alike session. Using several classic images of Marilyn for inspiration, we went to work, finding vintage jewelry, clothing and accessories at a local antiques shop, matching hair and makeup and setting up poses to evoke memories of the actress. The resulting images are stunning, and best of all, we had a blast!
