The popular photo site, I Heart Faces is running a “Hey, Girl!” photo contest for the month of May. I can’t get enough of this beauty’s curls, so I had to share! Check out the rest of her playful session here and be sure to visit www.iheartfaces.com to see the rest of the wonderful entries!

Photo Challenge Submission

It’s springtime, and the good folks over at Rock The Shot Forum have posted a “flower portrait” challenge for the month of May. How can I resist sharing a shot of my three lovelies playing in the early spring wildflowers? Rock the Shot

Last weekend, I had the delightful opportunity to photograph and absolutely adorable trio of little girls as part of a fashion session for the new spring clothing line from Dreamspun. Thank you so much to Korrie (Dreamspun’s extraordinary queen bee) for her spectacular clothes, accessories and on-the-fly styling help. And thanks to my new favorite little models for being so sweet on a cold Saturday morning in Grand Rapids. You all managed to convince me that we were having summer fun in the sun!

Grand Rapids has awesome locations for urban adventure photo shoots – with lots of color and textures to use as backgrounds. Fortunately there are many of these cool portrait locations within a few minutes walk.

One of the things I enjoyed about this session is that Natalie had her Mom Jennifer in a few of the photos with her. So not only did we get unique, edgy 8th grade graduation portraits – we also got some fun family portraits.  Natalie and Jennifer have great style, and we brought in some cool accessories – so we were able to put together ensembles that were unique to each person but still looked good when they were next to each other in the photos. Here are some favorites from the session…

This dining room features a large center 20 x 24 image with a 3 inch mat and a 1.5 inch frame. Each of the four flanking images are 8 x 10 in 11 x 14 inch mats with a 1 inch frame.

The center gallery wrap is 24 x 16 inches. The black and white wraps are 10 x 10.

Last, but not least, a classic black and white panoramic canvas wrap measuring 40 x 20 inches.
